Pipe cleaners can be used in a wide variety of ways when doing crafts.  Here are a couple of idea's and tips which may help you on your way..

When cutting pipe cleaners to size for legs, ears etc.  I find that if you use the good old fashioned wire cutters that I'm sure everyone has in the garage the best tool for the job.  You can use scissors but they tend to go blunt after a while.

You can bend and shape pipe cleaners into all kinds of shapes to be used in a wide range of ways.  Spirals are probably the easiest shape to do.  All you need to do is wrap the pipe cleaner around a pencil to form the spiral.  This can then be used as a pencil topper, or spiral hat for a witch or wizard pom pom craft.

Small cut pieces of pipe cleaner can be used as legs, arms or ears, the list is endless.
